As I sat earlier today, among papers and textbooks, feverishly studying for my upcoming finals I was interrupted by the familiar 'ting' of my phone, indicating a new email. It was from my brother and simply said "the masses want more BLOG!!'. A few things about this: 1. I think the use of the word BLOG was incorrect. Which is neither here nor there, but once again shows how infuriating the word is...only second to that of 'tweet' or 'tweeting' or twittering' or whatever the hell that's all about. 2. The masses? I think it's a fair assesment that a group of 8 people, consisting largely of family and 3 close friends hardly constitutes masses of any kind.... and 3. Was there a gathering? Cause it kind of infers there was a gathering where my blog might or might not have, but probably was discussed. Either way, I encourage this in the furture.

Jamie must have read my mind because, email promt or not, I was planning on posting a new blog today. The precursor to this was that I laid awake last night for what I would dare to say was close to an hour thinking about material for my next posting. This is exactly what I was worried about last week when I discussed that whole 'accountability' thing.. It started out all fun and games and now I'm losing sleep over it. Its starting to affect my health. It's a health risk at this point. Fantastic.

Lets review the week. There are a few noteable things we should touch on. First and foremost, the Tiger Woods scandal. I think it truely is a sad thing when a celebrity, especially one who tried to maintain his privacy as much as Tiger, becomes victim to the tabloids. Now not that I believe in racial profiling or anything, but I think its a fair assesment that the black half of Tiger is the half that cheated on his wife, and the asian half got him in the car wreck.

Last week I was given a take-home lab on nutrition for my Physilogy class. We were required to record all caloric intake and physical activity for a 24 hour period, all minutes of the day needing to be accounted for. The information was then plugged into a database at mypyramid.gov for analysis. When I was scrolling through the physical activity options under 'light housework' I came across the option 'butchering animals'..... Here's the thing, I'm aware that there was a time in this country when people were indeed butchering their own animals. I'm also fairly certain that since the invention of the internet (Al Gore, mid'90s) when this webiste was created that people are now buying their meat pre-butchered. Now what I didn't find under the options menu was "Guitar Hero". I'm thinking this list needs to be updated...just saying....

In other news, the state of California has issued a SEVERE WINTER STORM WARNING!!!! known commonly in other parts of the country as rain. Stay safe out there.
